Rejuvenate your smile with Injectables and Dermal Fillers
To further enhance a patient’s smile, Dr. Glenn A. MacFarlane of The Center of Holistic Dental Medicine is pleased to provide cosmetic injectables and dermal fillers. Injectables are often used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and folds on the face and continue to be a popular choice for Red Bank, New Jersey patients who want to combat the noticeable signs of aging. With Botox and Juvéderm, patients can achieve the look they’ve always wanted!
Are dermal fillers safe?
Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm are formulated with hyaluronic acid and are completely safe to use in patients who are proper candidates. Juvéderm has been on the market for years and is cleared by the FDA for cosmetic use.
Are dermal fillers painful?
Dermal fillers are injected into the skin, and there may be some slight discomfort. However, this is fast and well-tolerated by our patients.
What types of injectables are available?
At our practice, we are pleased to offer two types of injectables, including Botox and Juvéderm.
- Botox. Botox is a neuromodulator. It works by injection directly into the muscles of the face that contribute to dynamic wrinkle formation. Several days after injection, patients will notice folds and wrinkles around the face that are much less noticeable.
- Juvéderm. Juvéderm is a dermal filler formulated with hyaluronic acid that attracts water molecules. This gel-like substance can be injected directly into wrinkles and folds to smooth them and reduce their appearance.
Juvéderm can be used in conjunction with Botox injections for a more dramatic result, and both continue to be asked for by name by our patients!
